Gentlemen,
Hongkong, 19th July, 1901.
I am directed to interview you with regard to the provisions in the Tramway Bill for the following matters and shall be glad if you can arrange to call here at an early date with your technical adviser or any one else whom you desire to be present at the interview.
(1). Protection of telephone lines belonging to the Colonial Government and Naval and Military Departments from disturbing effects arising out of the working of the Tramways.
(2). Protection of Water Mains and Pipes.
(3). Provision of a branch line to the Naval Yard.
The plans of this Tramway have not yet been returned to me.
